What I use
N.B. I don't care what you use as long as you don't do anything stupid like write code in wordpad or some shit.
Hardware
My computers have names based on developers I came across in the interwebz. The names are not exactly the same, for obvious reasons, but are related nonetheless. Don't ask me what possessed me to think it was a good idea.
Current
Mirli
- Named after: Moosadee (Mirli is Lojban for moose)
- OS: CachyOS
- Host: Inlogic ML350G-10
- CPU: Intel Celeron N3350 (2) @ 2.4GHz
- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 500
Formerly my main computer, plan on using as a personal server of sorts. Formerly had Windope$ 10, but was replaced when a bigger hard drive was put in. Originally had Linux Mint but it randomly took a crap after an excursion into finding different DE's, so I installed a new OS.
Yes, I use a repurposed industrial computer. U mad bro?
Critu
- Named after: Autumn Eevie Nebulae (Critu is Lojban for autumn)
- OS: CachyOS
- Host: Dell Precision 7510
- CPU: Intel Cor i7-6820HQ (8) @ 3.6 GHz
- GPU: NVIDIA Quadro M1000M and Intel HD Graphics 530
My current main computer. A refurbished laptop that originally had Windope$ 11 (yuck!), but had its hard drive changed and a new one put in with Furreto Linux installed. It later got CachyOS installed on it after a shitshow with Timeshift. Basically, Critu goes where I go and does what Mirli can't do (or , at least, can't do well).
Inactive
Stil functional, but not really used for anything atm.
Linegra
- Named after: Devine Lu Linvega (Corruption of Linvega. Don't ask)
- OS: Android 5.1 CyanogenMod
- Host: Amazon Fire KFFOWI
- CPU: MediaTek MT8127 Quadcore @ 1.3GHz (ARM Cortex A7)
- GPU: ARM Mail-450 MP4 (Quadcore)
A Fire tablet I liberated from FireOS to CyanogenMod. A tablet version of Eievui, if you will
Retired
Eievui
- Named after: Eevee/LexyEevee (Eievui is Japanese name for eevee)
- OS: Linux Mint
- Host: Dell Latitude D820
- CPU: Intel Core 2 T5600 (2) @ 1.8 GHz
- GPU: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 730
My former main computer. Formerly had Windope$ 10(Stupid for many reasons), but had Linux Mint installed later on. A bit slow, especially when multitasking, and hates SDL for some reason but got the job done. Unfortunately, Eievui's monitor would not display, not even to an external monitor. Given how old, Eievui was deemed not worth fixing and has been retired. Thank you, Eievui. You have served me well.
Software
I'm not listing any preinstalled Google apps I have on my phone because I doubt you are interested. If I don't list anything for Mirli, that generally means I use the default stuff preinstalled. Anything that isn't labeled with a specific device should be assumed to be used by Mirli.
